CISCO GNS3 LAB INTERNET ACCESS
GNS3 LAB is one of the best solution for CISCO Virtual lab that everyone knows. I am not going to explore you whole lot of junk about how to setup initial cisco lab in GNS3 here as it is described into my another blog.
Shortly here I am going to describe how you can easily setup internet access to your GNS3 LAB. And its so easy. dont worry. just follow my following steps to setup your first CISCO GNS3 LAB to get internet access.
I am assuming you have already downloaded GNS3 all-in-one package in your Windows machine. If not, you can download it from HERE.
Step 1: As I am using CISCO 7200 router Image, (You can get all CISCO router images from here). If you cant download, please email us (info@naatsystems.com). We are going to send you IOS images.
Step 2: Configure your laptops or computers physical network interface (wired /wireless) with a static IP address and make sure you have internet access after the configuration of static IP address.
Step 3: Install Microsoft loopback interface. Click here to see the detailed procedure. You must reboot your computer after installing loopback interface to make it recognized by GNS3.
Step 4: Configure Static IP address for your loopback interface. IP address should be a different and self declared IP address.
Step 5: In GNS3 drag one cloud from left pane to the design pane. right-click on the cloud and click configure and add newly installed loopback interface. Click OK.
Step 6: Now drag down a CISCO7200 router from left-pane to design-pane. Establish link between Router and Cloud.
Step 7: Configure router cloud facing interface an IP address within the network range selected for loopback interface.
Step 8: Establish a default route where the next hope will be loopback interface IP address.
** If you can complete upto this, you are all done. now you can enjoy your first ping to internet from your GNS3 router.
