This is always important to setup your own lab at home for CISCO certification. You can take either CISCO simulation solution or solution based on GNS3.
The Best part for ICND1 Certification is you can own a simple Cisco 800 series ADSL router for initial preparation.

But don't worry if you are tensed about buying buying a CISCO device rig
ht now you have many potential ways to go ahead. And here is a good news for you, I received my CCNA ICND2 certificate without purchasing any CISCO Router or CISCO Switch. But if you have a device indeed the benefit of practice networking is faster than usual.

So what we can do to setup our very first CISCO Home lab? sounds crazy right But its dam easy infect many of you knows it already. Although this is not the goal of my blog I am here to give you little advanced information of how to use your very first home lab most efficiently.

So for a Cisco Home Lab. we need the primary most basic but most impressive to work with simulation software, Cisco Packet Tracer from Cisco or from anywhere you can get a free link for it.

Cisco Packet Tracer is only available to download for the authorized member (How to) of Cisco Network Academy and not recommended to download from any other source like torrent where it is freely available. Cisco is not liable for any security breach issue if you use the unauthorized version of this software.

The second and my most favorite technique is to setup your home Lab is, using GNS3. An opensource Cisco image Emulator which will give you a real life cisco experience indeed it needs a good amount of Computer hardware resources in order to run. So if you are ready for a real life experience, then go for GNS3 instead of Cisco packet tracer.

But if you thinking you need to develop your basic skills on networking, then there is no alternative fast way than Cisco Packet Tracer. I love this software.
