Mikrotik is now leading the most small to mid range office environment and many of the ISPs also uses their products for customer end routing and packet filtering firewall purpose. As an entry label Network Associate you will face Mikrotik Router Board most of the time in most of the companies.
Boards comes with Graphical User Interfaces which is so flexible and friendly. Unlike CISCO, Mikrotik GUI is so light and fast which is not dependent on JAVA plugin which is the most advantage while you start working. Interface is so user friendly and if you are a command line lover, you will find MIKROTIK GUI is made according to the command line command syntax.

I have found most people start using Mikrotik from GUI which is accessed using a light utility called Winbox.
Winbox is free and available in MIKROTIK website and also you will find it on your Routers HTTP page.
For most of those command line is easy to use and can be learned very fast once you are so much familiar with GUI.

So why are we here for? Not for reading what Mikrotik can do and why we should use them? There are thousands of thousands of pages which will describe much more about Mikrotik Routerboard.

But here we are to learn working with Mikrotik. If you think you need to learn networking, I shall suggest you to go through our CCNA Series. Things are similar when you come to know how networking works. Vendors wont be able to create barrier for you. Trust me.
